We are a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization dedicated to supporting
independent, faith-based bands in the alternative genres of punk, emo & ska music.

Small Step Records was born in 2021 out of a network of independent artists rooted in the Indie Vision Music community.
We hope to build a community and band roster that unites and promotes independent artists...all done in true DIY fashion.
Since Small Step Records is a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization, all finances received from merchandise sales and donations are put toward supporting our artists through album/single artwork, promotions, advertisements, merchandise production & distribution, radio/playlist campaigns, etc.

How we operate
Artists maintain the ownership, copyright, and publishing rights to their music. The label serves as an extension of the artist's team to collaborate, support, promote and connect artists.
Financial assistance is provided to independent artists to cover costs for music and merchandise production, in order to produce quality art that might otherwise be unattainable or go unheard.
Our artists create and write from the Christian faith perspective and express themselves through their music. Ultimately, the music is art created by Christians and can cover a range of topics/themes around all of life's experiences.
