Sam’s the Hero is a four-piece pop punk band from Virginia Beach, Virginia. The band first came together as a group of 20-year-olds, determined to leave their mark on the world while having as much fun as possible making music together.

The years since have brought marriages and divorces, children and miscarriages, broken and restored relationships, cancer diagnosis and recovery. Those experiences reshaped not only who they are as people, but also the music they create.

Today, Sam’s the Hero turns life’s hardest moments into honest, hopeful songs for anyone trying to find light in the middle of the mess, reminding listeners they’re not alone and that hope for a brighter future is worth holding onto.

In 2023, the band joined Small Step Records, marking a new chapter in their journey. They followed with the release of the Charlie Cox EP in November 2024.
